TEMPOGRAPHY. Conceptual video art project founded in London 2003 by artists Anthony Bannwart (Switzerland) and Magnus Aronson (Sweden). Minimalist silent moving images building a video collection, a 'tempothèque'. It is constrained, minimalist, documentary. Observing and capturing the movement through the cinema-eye is its primary element. The videos are silent, have no effects, no editing. A code is identifying each video, with 3 letters for the author, a date of capture, and the duration.TEMPOGRAPHY intervened on urban public CCTV screens in 2004, in London and Birmingham, installed on boad of more than 200 buses simultaneously. The project was transformed into an ongoing small community project since 2005. Tempography was later projected in Stockholm at ZITA Cinema in 2006. An exhibition was curated in Séoul at GALLERY FACTORY in 2008. Next Tempography exhibition and workshop : Goethe-Institut, Hanoi, Vietnam.
